Three common situations, each starting from a different layer.
Our core clients are small and medium businesses. These three situations come up most often in an initial consultation; if yours is close to one of them, it's usually quicker to tell whether to start from a point, a line, or a plane.
SMBs whose systems need transformation or optimization
You already have the software you're supposed to have — POS, SAP, SaaS, CRM, or inventory management — but it feels like it could be better and you don't know where to start; or the existing system has aged and can't keep up with how you operate now.
These companies don't lack tools; they lack judgment. After an on-site diagnosis, we decide together whether to start from a point, a line, or a plane.
Newly forming companies
The business model is set and the company is coming together, but no software has been chosen yet. This is the right moment to think through data, tools, and ways of working early: there's no legacy system to accommodate, and the later cost of switching is lower.
Most companies can only choose between barely-adequate off-the-shelf packages and expensive custom builds. Starting with AI at this stage, building the points and connecting the lines can both be done affordably — and the owner builds the organization from day one on clear data, permissions, and workflows.
Micro-businesses and the self-employed
No registered company, with limited scale and budget: market stalls, small shops, individual freelancers. Businesses like these often haven't imagined a system could be for them, yet orders, inventory, costs, and staying in touch with regulars still need to be remembered and managed.
A small scope actually makes it easiest to see change from a single point. We scope to your real budget and start with the one thing that lightens the load right away.
Service structure
Three service depths, for three common needs.
We prove it first at the smallest viable scope, then deepen step by step based on results. The depth is decided by the problem and the payoff; AI is not the default answer — we clarify the need first, then choose the fitting approach and way to adopt it.
Point automation (the point) improve one clear, measurable problem
For example, an unattended LINE customer channel, training with no sense of engagement, or a management process still stuck on a blackboard and paper. Pick one step with a clear impact and make a verifiable improvement.
With a clear scope, AI-assisted development shortens the time to build and adjust a purpose-built tool, giving SMBs a better chance to adopt it within an affordable range. The systems in our case studies were all built this way.
Process integration (the line) keep data flowing between steps
From LINE order-taking, inventory entry, and document generation to shipping notifications — we integrate work that once relied on manual re-copying and tracking into a process that keeps running on its own.
If an existing system still carries important methods and data, we prioritize connecting to it over replacing it wholesale. Technology should fit the company's way of operating; it shouldn't require the whole organization to readapt around a tool.
Capability handover (the plane) so the team can use, adjust, and maintain the basics
We develop your key internal people and hand over the use, adjustment, and basic maintenance, reducing long-term dependence on a single outside vendor.
We once finished a system that the team never used steadily. That experience set a principle: after a system is built, the team still has to be able to use and adjust it. So coaching and capability handover are part of the delivery, not an optional extra.
Our method
Start from the ground, decide by feasibility.
Understand both management and the front line
Managers see the results; front-line staff live the process. We understand the same workflow from both ends, and identify the steps that cause friction, delay, and risk.
Prove it in real scenarios
We don't let an abstract slide deck stand in for proof. We demonstrate with the company's real situations, so decision-makers can see a solution's feasibility and limits before committing.
Confirm the organization can take it on
Adoption needs the manager's support, the users' participation, and the consultant's shared accountability. Beyond technical feasibility, we also assess whether the organization is ready to take on the change.
The aim of going digital is not more surveillance, but fewer things falling through the cracks. Privacy-first is the default: data stays within its proper boundaries, and each role gets only the information it needs to do the work.
Engagement models
Choose how it's maintainedby how often it changes and your in-house capability.
Systems that keep evolving and depend heavily on internal knowledge suit a full capability transfer; stable, fixed integrations can be maintained by us. Most projects use a mix.
Capability-transfer
We complete the adoption and develop your key people, then you take over day-to-day maintenance. The system and accounts stay in your hands, keeping the freedom to adjust later.
It works when the organization has key people willing and able to learn and take it on — which is an important thing we assess on-site.
Managed maintenance
After adoption, we take on ongoing maintenance and any needed adjustments, on a monthly fee.
To keep service quality, the number of managed clients is capped; when full, you can join a waitlist or switch to the capability-transfer model.
Periodic review
After a capability transfer, we return quarterly or semi-annually to review how the system runs, how it's used, and new chances to improve. You keep maintaining it yourself while still getting an outside expert view.
Project fees are quoted after assessing scope, complexity, and how it will be maintained. AI usage is paid directly through your own account, with transparent, checkable details.
FAQ
Before we begin, let's make the important questions clear.
We're a small company — can we still adopt AI?
Yes. We start from one clear problem, prove the benefit, then decide whether to expand. Size isn't the only measure — what matters is whether the investment brings enough benefit; we'll say so clearly after an on-site assessment.
Do we need to prepare any materials first?
No. Just point out the work that's currently the most time-consuming, error-prone, or dependent on a specific person; we'll take stock of the rest together on-site and test possible solutions against real scenarios.
Do we have to replace our old systems?
In most cases, no. If your existing inventory or legacy system can be connected safely, we prefer to keep it, avoiding needless switching risk, cost, and learning burden.
How do AI accounts and usage fees work?
As a rule, you register and pay for AI accounts and APIs directly, and we help with the setup. Usage and cost are yours to check; the system, accounts, and data permissions stay with you, avoiding needless vendor lock-in.
Can you do a free trial build first?
We don't offer free trial builds. Adoption needs the manager, users, and consultant to invest together for real uptake and change to happen. The scope is designed around your budget and expected benefit, and explained clearly before any commitment.
Can it be done remotely?
The initial diagnosis isn't done purely remotely. Process problems usually live in the actual handling, cross-department handoffs, and edge cases, which need an on-site visit to judge accurately. We're based in Taichung and provide on-site service throughout Taiwan.
We want to adopt AI — who should we talk to first?
Start with a consultant who understands the work on the ground, speaks your business's language, and is willing to be accountable for both benefits and limits. Winnow is based in Taichung and serves SMBs across Taiwan — from on-site diagnosis and scenario testing to capability transfer, helping you keep the system and the ability to run it inside your organization.
You don't have to pick a service, just clarify the problem in front of you.
Start from the one task that's currently the most time-consuming and error-prone; the scope, priorities, and expected benefit are confirmed together after our on-site assessment.
